Mark IIB Indian Pattern light tank, Mohmand, India, 1935

Photograph, North West Frontier, India, 1935.

The 2nd Light Tank Company (LTC) equipped with Vickers-Armstrong Mark IIB light tanks, took part in the Mohmand campaign of 1935. The Indian Pattern version of the Mark II light tank, recognisable by its additional square turret cupola, proved an effective off-road vehicle during operations around the Nahakki Pass.

From an album of photographs compiled by Lieutenat-General Sir Henry ap Rhys Pryce, India, 1935.
